Psycho Social Assistance for AIDS infected children and their families

• Building up two regional centres for psycho-social assistance for HIV/Aids infected children and their families in two cities, Piatra Neamt and Bacau (Piatra Neamt has a population of 120.000, Bacau of 200.000 ).
• Institutional development of non-governmental organisations.
• Capacity building, training of professionals, doctors, research workers, social workers, psychologists and volunteer workers.
• Mobilizing community resources. Supporting parents' initiatives and providing psycho-social assistance for the families. The initial activities of this project have been sponsored by the EU-LIEN programme 1998-2000.
